"Striving
is embedded in you, How you were raised, Knowing that life
is short and that you have to live for today and not
tomorrow. That’s what inspires me"

Note: The Artist Way We can drive
cross country (NYC to LA), thru pitch-black night, just
because headlights allow us to see 200 feet ahead.
On the road of life: Strive challenges you to use your
passion as your headlights. You may not see everything in
your future, but rest assured the path is laid for you.
STRIVE often highlights artists because there is something
we (as professionals, artists, entrepenuers) can learn from
their belief system. With a passion in mind, many go from
sleeping in cars to making their first million in less than
a year.
The folks on the cover this week, however, have strived for
years. They are intellectuals with the creativity and drive
of an artist. Once you read there story its no surprise why
we have highlighted them.
And I almost forgot to note: they are UofM Wolverines, in
recognition of the 31st Annual African American Alumni
Reunion.
